Product Description

The Humminbird 597ci HD Combo features a high resolution 640V x 640H 5-Inch color display, Dual Beam PLUS sonar with 500 Watts RMS power output, and 50 channel internal GPS Chartplotting with built-in UniMap. The UniMap covers the contiguous U.S.A. coastline and inland lakes and rivers at 30 meters per pixel resolution. On the coast, this clearly shows features as small as canals, and many coastal navigation lights. Inland, the UniMap features virtually all recreational lakes and rivers, plus hundreds of thousands of small lakes that don’t appear on other charts. In other words, your lake is likely to be there! With the UniMap, you have a chart virtually anywhere you travel in the United States. Features include SD card slot, Freeze Frame, Real Time Sonar window, instant image update, true arch technology, selective Fish ID, echo enhancement, split screen zoom, and wide or narrow cone split screen. The user-friendly technology includes custom digital readouts, large digit view, quick disconnect mounting, triplog, and X-press menu system. The unit has a built-in GPS antenna, SD card slot for increased memory storage, and can store 2,500 waypoints, 50 routes, and up to 50 saved tracks with 20,000 trackpoints each. The package includes a transom mount transducer, installation hardware, and owner-Feets manual. Dimensions: 6.9-Inch W x 7.5-Inch H x 4.5-Inch D. One year parts and labor warranty.

The CPF390i boasts a 7-inch crisp high-resolution 800x480 sunlight viewable 16:9 aspect ratio Wide Screen display. 10' accuracy is obtained with the integrated 50 channel WAAS GPS receiver or optional GPS Smart antenna. The built-in 600W dual frequency fish finder allows you to easily find wrecks, record water temperature and target fish, simply by connecting an optional transducer. NMEA connections are available to compatible VHF's for DSC distress and position polling functions. Connect your CPF390i to a video source and watch your favorite DVD, play your favorite video game, or monitor your engine room in full screen or Picture in Picture. Dedicated MARK, ROUTE and INFO keys allow for fumble free operation. 5 user programmable hot keys allow quick and easy access to a number of preprogrammed navigation displays. In addition, the CPF390i displays and tracks AIS (Automatic Identification System) targets when connected to an optional AIS Receiver. The GPSMAP 546S is a compact chartplotter/fishfinder combo that features a high-resolution, super-bright 5 VGA color display along with an improved high-speed digital design for increased map drawing and panning speeds. It's ready to go with an easy-to-use interface and a built-in, satellite-enhanced basemap preloaded with all U.S. coastal areas, including Alaska and Hawaii as well as detailed charts for Bermuda. The GPSMAP 546 also accepts BlueChartr g2 Vision cards for added features and functionality such as high-resolution satellite imagery, 3D views and Auto Guidance technology.

The GPSMAP 546 comes ready to go with preloaded U.S. coastal area map data. For areas outside the U.S., the GPSMAP 546 has a worldwide basemap with satellite images in place of more traditional maps. The GPSMAP 546 also comes standard with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver for superior satellite tracking and quicker acquisition times. In addition, the GPSMAP 546 can receive U.S. graphical weather data via optional GXM 51 satellite receiver/antenna. And with an SD card slot, it's easy to add additional maps without connecting to a computer.

Where applicable, the sounder version, GPSMAP 546s, comes with a powerful dual-frequency transducer that clearly illustrates depth contours, fish targets and structures whether you're fishing in freshwater or off the coast. The GPSMAP 546 and GPSMAP 546s are also NMEA 2000-certified for easy connectivity with sensors, instruments and future marine offerings.

Best bang for buck!

I did a lot of research before buying this unit, I couldnt decide between this and the almost identical Lowrance Elite5 chartplotter unit. After reading countless reviews I chose the Hummingbird. The Lowrance has more color palete choices but the hummingbird had the old style sonar ability otherwise they seem the same to me. I am soo glad I chose this one! The downscan is awesome, truly showing great detail of structure and bottom, but its really hard to see fish and baitfish on it. The old style (seems like an updated version)shows fish and baitfish great and will mark them on the screen. This unit allows you to split the screen and use both sonar types at the same time, and its freaking awesome. The chartplotter is nice for navigating the big lakes but the included mapping is bad on small lakes showing just a blank white screen with your boat in the middle. But you can mark a waypoint for the dock to help you get back and view your tracks as you go to help navigate blindly. The coolest part of having a chartplotter is being able to mark locations of structure or fish zones and be able to return to them later without wasting time having to troll over dead water trying to find "that spot" again later in the day. Sounds crazy but this thing truly has changed the way I fish and made me a better fisherman! I just cant imagine what they can come up with next.

Overall I really like the unit, but not Humminbird.I sound harsh, but I would just get a 2D, or move up to a larger screen unit.I was very let down by the down imaging hype and pretty pictures that humminbird shows on their ads.The unit is great, and I love it, but don't think for a second that you'll see what the ads show. You might if you are running on an indoor swimming pool with NO wind and crystal clear water. The best pictures I have seen so far after 4 weekends using it will not even tell you if you are above a tree or an old concrete slab down below. What a waste. Other than a worthless down imaging feature that you spend an extra $100 for, the unit is a great GPS and 2D sonar. I already wasted my money, too late. Do you really want to waste yours? Humminbird, you really need to improve your "trick them into believing we can do anything" ads.Also, I was at 3 stars, but the included "charts" are nothing but an outline of the lake. My 6 year old cell phone gps shows that much!

I wasn't certain how useful down-imaging would turn out to be for my style of fishing. After several months of use I've found down-imaging indispensable. It helps me precisely locate structure & fish that I previously would have missed.

Exclusive Lowrance DownScan Imaging innovation displays crystal clear photo-like views of structure, bottom, thermoclines, baitfish and predator fish directly beneath the boat. No interpretation needed. Selectable 455 kHz sounding for wider and deeper sonar imaging coverage, with 800 kHz for enhanced viewing of targeted locations. The unit also features a conventional 83/200KHz sonar suitable for inland waters. The brilliant widescreen 7-Inch, 800x480 pixel SolarMAX 256-color TFT display has unmatched screen brightness, contrast, resolution and viewing detail at wider angles and in bright sunlight. Adjustable screen and keypad backlight improves usability and visibility day or night. The internal 16-channel GPS antenna provides precision for navigation, and an external antenna option is also available for customized applications.
